Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP was officially begun in the early 1970s by John Grinder, Richard Bandler, Fritz Perls, Milton Erikson & Virginia Satir, where the founders studied the best, most effective methods to create an extensive set of tools to facilitate powerful, quick and long-lasting change in both individuals and organisations.
NLP’s popularity has grown rapidly within the coaching and therapy fields and is frequently referred to as the “instruction manual for your mind” as it focuses on ‘how’ we do things and the way we store our experiences in our minds. NLP is a major advance in psychotherapy and counseling.
There are two main therapeutic uses of NLP :
NLP training is focused on the importance of process over content. The content is relevant because it helps to determine the context in which processes occur.
The main attention of all NLP training techniques is on the process and that is what makes NLP training such a powerful tool to understand the WHAT rather than the WHY.
Anita uses NLP as a tool for belief change by exploring the underlying processes which influence behavior and actions. Using her real-life experience of working with people and their beliefs, she is able to help them deal with the limiting mental blocks.
