A Chartered Accountant by qualification and a senior Corporate Banker by profession, I spent more than 26 years in senior positions at leading global banks. My proven track record kept my career growing and flourishing. From the outside, I had it all – a stable, prolific banking career and a loving family to support my busy schedules. Yet, I felt I was not fulfilled, was seeking something more. I was unable to strike a harmonious balance between work, life, motivation, dreams and personal goals. Somewhere between rushing to work in the morning, to dragging my feet back home at night, I had lost that inner connect.
Looking around, I knew that it wasn’t just me. Statistics show that over 50% of adults feel unfulfilled, impacting their confidence and self-esteem in both professional and personal lives. Everyone around me was either running towards burn out or had reached status quo. “You cannot escape from a prison if you don’t know you are in one”. I was curious and eager to find a way out.
In Dr Wayne Dyer’s words, “The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about, yet refuse to investigate”.
I spent the next few years delving deep into research and study. I quit my thriving job in banking and went on to certify myself as a Master Life Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, Time Paradigm Techniques Master Practitioner, Master Hypnotist and Master Relationship Coach from RSCI (Robert Simic Coaching Institute). I attended live programmes conducted by modern day thought leaders like Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Dr Joe Dispenza and many more online programmes too. I explored Reiki, and trained in Hatha Yoga, Bhuta Shuddhi, Inner Engineering and also Hindustani Classical music as I found tremendous healing power in sound. It activates the human energy system and leads to a higher level of consciousness.
